Me (bramwelt) and Chance already discussed this at length. Pip provides a -e option for installing repos as packages. (Well, its sorta a hack, but works). Currently VNCAuthProxy is the only dependency left for not needing git, as object-log and object-permission are as of 0.10 correctly installed through pip. VNCAuthProxy though is already installed in this manner, though in a roundabout way.

This would also allow the removal of GIT_DEPENDENCIES in the fabfile.

  • Difficulty set to Easy
  • Estimated time set to 2.00
  • Priority changed from Low to High
  • Target version set to 0.11

Since we have Piotr's new script, I think we're just going to nuke fabric entirely.
